Octopuses are muscular marine creatures with no bones, a beak, eight-limbs and three hearts. Their blood is copper-based rather than iron-based, which makes it blue. They can change color and pattern because of cells in their skin called chromatophores. They locomote with their limbs and by swiftly expelling water from their mantle ("head") cavity through a siphon.
